Made from high-quality aluminium our Hardie VL Plank Starter Profile is designed to provide lower edge support for the first Hardie Plank cladding board (for horizontal installations). If you are looking to install your cement cladding vertically, this would require purchasing Hardie VL Plank J profile trim. Please note that starter strips must be installed 100% level and flat.

It is recommended that a ventilation profile is fitted first to ensure that the unperforated leg sits behind the batten. This will prevent build up to the front face of the batten once the starter profile is installed.
